Fewer people will have built up a natural immunity to flu over the past couple of years, due to covid restrictions. Therefore, it is more important than ever to have your flu vaccine to reduce the risk of you becoming seriously ill.
We will contact patients to invite them to our flu clinics. However, if you would rather arrange to have it elsewhere other local pharmacies offer the service (although they may charge).
Our nurses are fully trained to give travel vaccinations and immunisations. Cervical smears are so important as they are one of the best ways to help protect you from cancer. Certain types of human papillomavirus (HPV) cells in the cervix can cause abnormal changes which could lead to cancer. Having your cervical smear allows these cells to be detected and treated early, before they turn into cervical cancer.
More information on the importance of cervical screening, what happens at your appointment and when you’ll be invited can be found here.
