Yorkshire Ambulance Service Changes.

Please note that due to staff shortages from COVID-19 the Yorkshire Ambulance Service are no longer able to take the majority of patients to routine/general outpatient appointments and clinics. They will be prioritising their resources to support their emergency ambulance service, to provide transport for the most vulnerable patients, and to continue to support NHS Acute Trusts indischarging medically fit patients.Routine journeys to planned care clinics will be suspended from Wednesday 12 January 2022 until further notice.Journeys will continue for:• Patients who need essential life-saving treatment such as renal dialysis, chemotherapy, radiotherapy and other cancer treatment.• Patients travelling to receive nMAb treatment for COVID-19.• In-patients who are medically fit for discharge.• Transfers between healthcare facilities.• Appropriate admissions.We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and thank you for your patience and understanding.
